The Rhune Mountain

It is good to climb the Rhune mountain when you need to take refuge and recharge your batteries.

The climb is not very difficult. Some people can take the "little train of the Rhune" to reach the 907-metre summit (note that the little train is temporarily closed until June 2023).

From the top, you can see the hills and mountains of Labourd, Lower Navarre and Soule as far as the peaks of the Pyrenees, as well as the Atlantic Ocean from Hendaye to Biarritz.

You will meet the "Pottok", small Basque horses that live freely in the Massif.
